The Eastern Music Festival (EMF), a nationally recognized classical music festival and summer educational program, has been produced on the campus of Guilford College, UNCG, and other venues in Greensboro, NC. EMF is distinguished by its accomplished faculty, exhilarating repertoire, and world-renowned visiting artists under the artistic direction of Gerard Schwarz. A powerful teaching institution, EMF provides encouragement and guidance to over 265 young musicians from across the country and around the globe as they take pivotal steps towards careers in the performing arts.
This coming season will celebrate the EMF's 60th year of providing unmatched educational experiences and great performances. This summer at EMF will look a little different. The 2021 Season will include over 35 performances featuring classical works for ensembles of various shapes and sizes. Taking place between June 26 and July 31, 2021 the city of Greensboro, NC will be buzzing with everything from full orchestral performances to showcased recitals that everyone can enjoy.
